Go Abroad China - Charity
Go Abroad China takes pride in providing educational opportunities to Chinese students as well as to international students coming from all over the world to experience China. Each year GAC allocates a portion of its budget and resources to improving education in rural China and also trying to provide material comforts to the children. GAC’s efforts fall into three major categories: donations, volunteer work, and development.
Donations
GAC works with various organizations and volunteers to rural schools throughout China. GAC mainly focuses in assisting local children with special needs, children with disabilities, autism, or from orphanage school and poor schools for immigrant workers. To achieve this, GAC sends a percentage of its yearly profits directly to rural schools and orphanages in China. Some of our recent beneficiaries are:
- Beijing Fenghua Love & Hope School
- Beijing Guang Ai Orphanage School
- Beijing Song Tang Hospice
- Hong De Orphanage School
- Xi Zhu Charity School in Tibet
Volunteering
GAC works with several organizations, GAC students and volunteers to engage people in assisting students in rural areas as well as children with disabilities, autism, or from orphanage schools and poor schools for immigrant workers. GAC staff members also take and play an active role in participating in these volunteer activities. GAC strongly embarks on joining and getting involved in the community work.
Development
GAC's key charitable focus is on its development and involvement in charity work in schools with limited or no access to certain facilities, impoverished areas and also Chinese minority areas. We also focus on supporting children with physical disabilities such as autism in many of the penurious areas. Currently our key projects are volunteer activities in Beijing and Tibet. Our Beijing projects aim at providing learning materials and English lessons for schools for the immigrants children located in Beijing and the disabled children in Beijing. The Tibet project aims at providing learning material such as books, uniforms and also English lessons to the children in Tibet region.
