Why Learn Chinese is Important 24/10/11

One of the best ways to really understand Chinese culture is to also understand the language. Now, we’re not talking about absolute fluency, but if you’re able to say ‘Hello’ to that woman on the market who always smiles at you, or can do more than point and hope when you’re in a restaurant,

Can you imagine working and living in our global world without been able to speak English?

In 1919, after the First World War, the winning countries including France, England, Japan and the Unites states gathered in Paris and discussed the war outcomes and the future of Europe. Until that time, the diplomatic language was French, however as the United States was gave the ‘Allied Powers’ the crucial advantage they needed to win the war and by President Wilson’s request, the conference was held in English. Since then, the diplomatic language changed and all the citizens of the world began to learn and speak the English.

Last year, the ‘World Bank’ published his estimation that by the year 2020, China will become the biggest economy in the world. China is already a significant power in Asia and she is spreading her diplomatic and economic influence to Asia (more than 3 Billion U.S dollars a year in the ASEAN countries), Africa (more than 1,600 Chinese companies invest in Africa today) and Europe (expected to buy more than 100 Billion U.S dollars worth of European bonds in 2011-2012).

China has its unique way of doing business, very different than the Western world or other countries in Asia. In order to fully understand the way Chinese think, behave and do businesses, you must come to China and experience it firsthand. We believe that in the years to come, China and Chinese will become more and more internationally important and influential. Anyone who would like to have a long lasting relationship with China or other Asian countries, will have to speak at least some Chinese.

Do not miss this special opportunity, to live in the most talked about, intriguing country in the world, experience its culture, and study its language. It will expand your horizons, open new doors, and will widen your working opportunities. In any case, it will be an amazing experience- guaranteed!
