Go Abroad China - Service Pack: Housing

Go Abroad China arranges living accommodations to enhance your experience. You have a choice of different types of accommodations with convenient public transportation to school or intern company. GAC has arranged preferential rates for students housing options. Accommodation is included for your entire study duration. Program fee varies according to the type of accommodation selected. Accommodation starts the day before the program and ends the day after the program. Subject to availability and additional cost, extended stay can be arranged upon request. 

Shared Apartment with Chinese

Staying with Chinese, either Chinese family, middle-aged, young professionals, young couple, or college students, is a good way to learn Chinese and have close contact with the Chinese culture. Daily contact with Chinese people will quickly enhance your understanding of local customs and culture.

The Chinese hosts are seriously interviewed and personally selected based on a number of factors, including the cleanliness and comfort of the apartment, personality, education, profession and hobbies of Chinese roommates, etc. Many Chinese are also eager to live with a foreigner so they too can learn about another culture and have the opportunity to practice their English.

Each apartment has convenient living facilities including TV, internet, refrigerator, washing machine, air-conditioning and western style toilets with 24-hour hot water. You will have your own space in a private bedroom furnished with a bed, desk, wardrobe (or closet).

If you choose the option of shared apartment with Chinese, we will try to arrange a best suitable shared apartment with a local host family, couple, Chinese professionals, or college students, based on the distance to company or school, participants’ gender and background, etc.

Private Apartment

The Private Apartment is the perfect solution for people who want to explore China during the day while still maintaining their own privacy and independency once at home.

We will arrange a modern and spacious private apartment close to your study or work place near a subway station and bus stop. Our apartments are located in areas such as: Wu Dao Kou, Guo mao and Wangjing etc., in lively areas and close to restaurants and other commodities.

Private apartments include a bedroom, a living and dining room, bathroom and kitchen. They are fully furnished with TV, internet connection, desks, chairs, bed, shelves, refrigerator, microwave, basic cooking utensils….Please note that the expenses for gas, water and electricity fees (roughly RMB 200 per month) are not included in the program fee and will be the responsibility of the program participant.
